well...the good news is that school is canceled for the kids tomorrow, so i don't have to get up at dawn's buttcrack to drive across two cities to lead our before-school bible study. the bad news is that school is canceled for the kids tomorrow because it is TOO DAMN COLD for a school bus to run. now, these are not old, rickety, run down buses. oh no...these are state of the art, automatic starter, rich kid suburban buses. and it's TOO COLD for them...which means it's REALLY EFFING COLD.
right this very moment? -14 degrees...yeah...not counting wind chill. tomorrow morning's forecast? -20 without wind chill. that's sick. but fear not, dear friends...this weekend we're getting a heat wave and should be back up into more humane temps in the 20s.
